Philadelphia OURfest: National Coming Out Parade and Festival is open to all, particularly LGBTQ+ members and allies.
OURfest (standing for Our Uniting Resilience) formally begins with kick-off occasions on Friday, October 6, 2023 — and the festivities solely ramp up over the weekend.
Parade
OURfest’s Nationwide Coming Out Parade takes place on Saturday, October 7, 2023, from 4 to six p.m. The historic celebration begins at fifth & Market streets and flows to Broad & Locust streets.
The parade includes a collection of LGBTQ+ floats, reside performances, and sections for pioneers and group leaders, youth and households, native organizations, sports activities and recreation, drag artists and extra.
Plus, prepare for the return of the record-breaking 200-foot Progress Satisfaction flag, initially debuted on the Pride March & Festival this previous June.
Competition
The occasion continues the following day with the OURfest Nationwide Coming Out Competition and Useful resource Truthful, happening all throughout the Gayborhood on Sunday, October 8, 2023, from 12 to 7 p.m.
This vibrant avenue fest and useful resource truthful captures the spirit of Philly’s LGBTQ+ group, with festivities together with artwork and music by native artists, speeches and reside leisure, meals vehicles, makers and craft distributors, household programming, training and wellness sources, and ceremonies.
